Numerous singles who attend our Conferences for the first time feel nervous and uncomfortable with the idea of attending a Singles Conference. But they come in spite of their feelings. They are scared that they may feel “like a fish out of water". If you feel this way - we understand.

Arriving at Semiahmoo Resort, you will be greeted by someone who welcomes you with a handshake and a smile. Another person helps you carry your luggage to your room. The room looks great with comfort at it's best! You have noticed lots of people chatting in the hallways. And the best part is that many are your own age. You have a few minutes left. You notice the large dining room where the kitchen staff are preparing the Friday evening meal.

Oh, the food smells good!  Wow! And you think to yourself, this weekend is going to be a wonderful “Weekend Escape.”  Another thing you notice is that everyone seems to be so friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed. It does feel like a "safe" place. And the "fish out of water" feelings are almost gone. It will be a great weekend!
